SASFA Educa

Part of our mission and calling as an organization is to help the community learn more about animal welfare as individuals and a society. To this end, we offer talks on a variety of topics, such as responsible pet guardianship, the importance of spaying and neutering pets, and the recognition and prevention of animal abuse.

We offer talks on these themes all over Puerto Rico to schools, organizations, workplaces, and camps, among others. Please note that talks are subject to the availability of our educators.

For more information or to schedule your talk with SASFA Educa, write to info@sasfapr.org

Alas de Amor

When our furry residents do not find their forever homes on the island of Puerto Rico, they enroll in the Alas de Amor program, which grants them a second chance in their search for a home. They travel to different parts of the United States with reputable organizations to find a family that they can be part of.

While we are lucky to carry out parts of this program through collaborations with The Sato Project and Wings of Rescue, most of Alas de Amor’s transport duties are on our own. We rely on donations to acquire crates, vet our animals for travel, and transport to the Luis Muñoz Marín airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, which is almost three hours away. Your support is crucial to helping these transports become a reality. If you would like to help us by being a volunteer or sponsoring a transport with a donation, send us a message to info@sasfapr.org.
